Michael & Michael | Hair Salon

MEPIS was commissioned to perform MEP support for the extension of a hair salon into an adjacent building, along with some renovation of the existing space.

The electrical scope of the project included new power layout and new lighting layout as well as support for mechanical equipment. The largest challenge in the scope was handling the high number of new electrical loads from the new lighting and dedicated circuits for every hair dryer; a new sub-panelboard had to be specified to handle the loads. Mechanical scope included the addition of a new rooftop unit and two new exhaust fans. Plumbing work included the extension of existing water and waste piping to accommodate the new sinks in the expansion area.
