VOLTA Charging Station

Volta Charging has a unique business model that MEPIS supports. Volta provides electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) that provide free charging to customers at various retail locations. The revenue engine behind the supply of these free stations is an advertising display screen on my sides of the EVCS, which Volta rents to advertisers. MEPIS provided a two-stage design. When a retail landlord shows interest, MEPIS provides an on-site survey to confirm the best potential station locations (and angles for best advertising visibility).

After Volta confirms the construction cost feasibility and executes a contract to provide the stations with the landlord, MEPIS provides Site Design services, which are full design and permit drawings, including creation of a site plan, electrical power distribution diagram, and various equipment installation and civil engineering details for the new, dedicated parking spaces. We then submit for city permit with the help of a Volta-selected contractor. Volta manages the construction after the permit is awarded and the site opens to fulfill both advertising and charging needs. MEPIS has designed sites as simple as two chargers, one source and as complex as six charges, three sources.
