MEPIS was commissioned to assess the current condition and capacity of the existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems at Thomas J. Waters Elementary School. The assessment is to determine whether these systems can be extended to support the new 29,200 GSF programmed Annex or replicating the systems if the extension is not feasible. Upon completion, a Schematic Design of the Annex (3,700 GSF) will be developed based on the assessment’s findings and recommendations. The Annex will be a linked three-story structure which will include new classrooms, music room, library, and computer lab along with a lunchroom/ multipurpose room.
