Fire Alarm and Paging Systems Replacement

MEPIS was commissioned by Tyson Foods for the replacement of the existing fire alarm and paging systems throughout the entire 230,000 square-foot food-processing facility. In addition to producing construction documents, MEPIS provided on-site construction management for the entirety of the installation.

MEPIS surveyed the area to locate all fire alarm and paging speaker devices on plan, designating each area based on usage in order to specify required conduit types per Tyson standards. Design drawing plans were created for both floors (including mezzanine), with a new fire alarm control panel and other required accessories for powering the paging system. As part of the fire alarm system, a new set of linear heat detectors was specified for placement in the freezer storage areas. All fire alarm and paging system equipment manufacturers and models were specified by MEPIS.
