Illinois State University - Milner Library

MEPIS was retained by Demonica Kemper Architects for the renovation of an existing space on the first floor of Milner Library at Illinois State University. The multimedia “Student Success Center” will be 21,500 GSF and will contain (8) study rooms, (2) classrooms, (2) information kiosks, (14) office spaces, (2) IT closets, (4) printing stations, and a quantity of tales with seating. MEPIS surveyed and documented existing Mechanical and Plumbing systems and provided Design Engineering services. The Mechanical scope consisted of evaluating existing system capacity and ability to service renovated spaces, re-use existing HVAC ductwork and ventilation installed, modifications of exhaust systems, and design of local temperature control systems. Plumbing scope included design modifications of domestic hot and cold-water systems serving the area, and modifications of sanitary and vent systems.
