MEPIS has been commissioned by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill (SOM) to provide complete Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design of a new mixed-use building. The building is divided into three portions: (1) a new 16,000 GSF public library; (2) 2,000 GSF of retail space; and (3) a new 7-story mixed-income apartment building with tenant amenity spaces such as a laundry room, exercise room, a social lounge, and on-site parking for the apartment and library. The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification at a minimum, with aspirations for LEED Gold.
