MEPIS was commissioned by JGMA to provide MEP/FP engineering services for a new 86,000 GSF new mixed-use building for multifamily residential and commercial spaces at grade level, including shell space for future commercial tenants. Engineering scope of work included HVAC systems, electrical power distribution, branch outlets, lighting systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection.

The building was designed in compliance with Chicago’s Sustainable Development Policy, with additional considerations in exceeding energy code, indoor water reduction, EV charging stations, and accommodations for public transportation users. Additional challenges for the building design included the requirements for new incoming services for electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
