John H. Stroger Hospital was having problems with proper air balance and air flow in the central sterile processing areas. To better maintain proper pressurization in the different spaces, the hospital wanted to install an electrically interlocked passage way between the processing area and the storage of sterile items area and provide electrical interlocks between other passage ways in the central processing area. As part of the project, access control and door operators were added as well to accommodate these requirements.
