Peterson Plaza Building

M.E.P. Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (MEPIS) was retained by Related Management thru architectural firm DesignBridge to assess and design a complete retrofit of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for the Peterson Plaza Apartment Buildings. This property consists of one 20 Story high-rise building along with three, 3-story residential buildings.  A total of 197 units are on this property along with tenant common use areas.

MEPIS surveyed all existing MEP/FP systems and assessed their condition and usefulness.  All code deficiencies present within the building were identified and documented. The findings of our survey and assessment were used to generate construction and permit documents which helped to correctly identify project costs and extent of required upgrade.  Once the project was bid and awarded, MEPIS performed construction administration via review of product submittals and shop drawing submittals to ensure quality and accuracy of the installation.  Overall MEP/FP scope involved the replacement of an existing Make Up Air unit with electric heating coil along with replacement of all Package Terminal Air Conditioning units within the apartments. Plumbing risers were replaced and alterations in kitchens and bathrooms made to accommodate ADA requirements.  Fire Alarm Control Panels were upgraded and numerous electrical items were replaced or altered.
