Howard Brown enlisted the services of MEPIS to design their proposed new corporate headquarters space in a building undergoing substantial upgrades by the landlord. The 26,145SF 2-story commercial building dates back to 1965. The dark shell landlord renovations included new roof, glazing, utility services and HVAC equipment. The Howard Brown scope of work included creation of base building restrooms and core area divisions including all new duct distribution, perimeter heating, HVAC controls, all domestic hot and cold-water systems, all sanitary and vent systems, all lighting and controls, all power, life safety and low voltage AV/Technology service and distribution. The Technology Engineering scope of services included the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design along with the new incoming telecommunication services. The ICT design encompassed the information outlet (data/voice) layout, Wi-Fi layout, the backbone, and horizontal cabling infrastructure system including the building NetPOP room, MDF room, and TR’(s).
