MEPIS was commissioned by Northwestern University to renovate the laundry room units in the Foster-Walker dormitory. The scope of work consisted of the replacement of 13 washers and 10 dryers with 12 new stacked washer/dryer sets and 1 se of unstacked ADA units. MEPIS performed the demolition of the old laundry units and provide utilities to new units, surveyed, and verified the existing steam and condense system, designed the new laundry exhaust systems and the piping connections, surveyed the electrical distribution system, designed the replacement of the existing electrical distribution, designed the interior lighting layout and assessed the new distribution system; designed modification of water, waste and vent systems including the relocation of existing sink.
