University of Illinois at Chicago - Pharmacy 2 North Renovation

MEPIS was commissioned by Lothan Van Hook DeStefano for the renovation of an existing 7,000 SF on the second-floor north wing inside the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The area of work identified on the plan is approximately 7,000 SF., the decided programming area involves converting existing four (4) classrooms (204, 208, 212, 216) into one large 2750 SF lecture hall. The new space shall be designed to support live stream lecture with movable furniture. The existing MEP systems are within proximity to the work area. the scope of work consisted of designing modifications of existing ductwork, piping, temperature controls, electrical power, lighting and controls, fire alarm and detection system, feeders and branch distributions, emergency/standby power, sanitary, waste and vent systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems.
