Tyson Foods Chicago Hospitality Plant - Emergency Lighting Assessment and Repairs

MEPIS was commissioned by Tyson Foods for the assessment of the facility’s exits signs and egress lights to determine the extent of the repair and replacement needed, along with the actual electrical services to make the changes on the field. MEPIS surveyed the area to determine the extent of the repairs and replacements. It was determined on field that the majority of such items were either broken or in otherwise dire shape. MEPIS then contracted the electricians to perform the replacements as a full-time construction manager. Plans were generated on AutoCAD detailing the locations for the fixtures. MEPIS then oversaw the construction services to make the necessary repairs and testing of the emergency battery pack exit signs and egress lighting. Field reports, testing checklists, and closeout documents were generated and turned over to Tyson.
