MEPIS was commissioned by HPZS to convert one first floor classroom into a new Physics lab, and convert a second-floor classroom into a new chemistry lab. The mechanical scope of work consisted of surveying the existing HVAC system serving the project area, review test and balance reports, design modifications for fume hood exhaust systems and associated BAS system. Electrical scope included surveying the existing electrical systems, design modification of branch circuiting to accommodate room requirements, the design of new or replacement branch panelboard, and new raceways as well as the outlet locations for data. Plumbing scope consisted of surveying the existing plumbing systems, design of sinks, eye wash stations and lab gas systems.
