MEPIS Engineers have a wide library of expertise in the planning and design of numerous plumbing piping systems for a wide variety of building types and uses. From standard domestic water and sanitary distribution to detailed process piping, our Engineers and Designers are capable of meeting the requirements of all project scopes.
Determining incoming service sizes and efficient distribution is the primary focus of all New Construction projects while extensive field survey and verification forms the basis of any renovation and/or retrofit project. In addition to commercial plumbing designs, MEPIS also specializes in specialty piping systems involving commercial kitchens, manufacturing, healthcare, and Higher Ed laboratory spaces. Medical gas and laboratory gasses form a fundamental basis of design for many of our projects along with high purity, reverse osmosis, and deionized water systems.
MEPIS Engineers use a number of software tools in the design of their plumbing systems. Custom built spreadsheets calculate and document fixture counts, system flows and pressure drops and other fundamental plumbing engineering design practices. Revit and AutoCAD modeling are used to create the engineering documents used for project direction. Coordination between trades is accomplished using the 3D modeling capabilities of the AutoDesk suite of programs such as Navis Works and Navis Freedom.
