MEPIS provides comprehensive mechanical engineering, design, and assessment services with our in-house staff of Mechanical Engineers and Designers. The collaborative expertise takes a project from concept to completion by performing site survey of existing conditions in the case of an existing building renovation, to system load calculations, equipment selection, designs and construction assistance. Every project receives a unique and individualized approach to ensure system efficiency and energy optimization is maintained while minimizing impact on project budgets. The combination of emerging technology and innovative design provides a competitive edge while delivering a “user friendly” service. Our engineering mastery is used on a large field of system designs ranging from central plant utilities to complete building design and build-out. Typical mechanical projects:

  • System repair and upgrade
  • Laboratory renovations
  • Healthcare build-outs
  • Conversions
  • Commercial and Industrial projects

Our strong proficiency of large campus and building distribution systems has allowed us to be the preferred firm of choice for numerous institutions. Our engineering knowledge of actual system operation and performance, coupled with experience of every day maintainability, allows us to prove practical real world systems that owners and operators understand and efficiently operate.

MEPIS Engineers utilize a number of software tools in the design of their mechanical systems. Trance Trace 700 is used for system load calculations and energy modeling. Custom built spreadsheets calculate and document system pressure drops, hydronic flows, and other fundamental mechanical engineering design innovations. Revit and AutoCAD modeling are used to create the engineering documents used for project design and direction. Coordination between trades is accomplished using the 3D modeling capabilities of the Autodesk suite of programs such as Navis Works and Navis Freedom.
